One of the greatest aspects of teaching is learning from others. I am very lucky to teach a very diverse classroom of children. These children are from different countries, have different backgrounds and all bring different experiences to our classroom. One of the things that all of my children have in common is that they love learning!
Our school consists of about three hundred students and contains grades K-5.
We are a close knit community of teachers and learners and love to work with each other.
I call my students my children because over the course of a year, I come to care, not only about their learning, but for their well-being, as well. My students are risk takers and enjoy trying out the latest technology ...or Magic Tree House Book!
My Project
STEAM science integrates science, technology, engineering, arts and math to create well rounded scientist. My students love hands-on learning and conducting their own experiments.
The Experiment of the Week Science Lab set includes everything I will need to cover the science standards, as well as create a fun and exciting learning environment.
The science lab kit includes life cycles and states of matter, lunar phases, the greenhouse effect and more. The lab covers thirty amazing science topics with experiments my students can complete throughout the school year! This kit includes step-by-step directions, discussion questions and more. It will make prepping for lessons a breeze and allow me more time to work with students. Each experiment includes a student worksheet, so kids can record their observations like real scientists! Best of all, the lab is loaded with lots of hard to find supplies.
The Science File Folder Games children can play independently! My students can just grab a color-coded folder and pouch and then follow the simple, 3-step instructions to categorize simple machines, explore the water cycle, sequence animal life cycles and more! The set includes ten self-checking games, each with a game mat that doubles as a tabbed folder, plus a corresponding pouch of game tiles.
