This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are leaders. They are passionate about learning and eager to acquire new knowledge. They are fascinated by the world of books. They come from a variety of economic backgrounds and a community filled with rich culture and traditions. My students love providing emotional support to others through words, letters, or donations. They enjoy learning about current events and doing hands on projects. Are schools vision is to prepare all students for success, college, and careers. We emphasis on developing skills and knowledge to become lifelong learners and critical thinkers.
My Project
Our classroom has decided to help schools affected by the Mexico City earthquake. We plan on helping them restore their classroom libraries. We hope our donations will provided emotional support to schools and students in Mexico City while providing us with a lesson on empathy. I want my students to realize that they can make a difference in someone's life. We are also learning the role of being part of a larger community. We hope to create lasting friendships with the schools we are supporting. With the help of your donations and the community we can continue to create an environment of compassion and responsibility.
