Creating Engineering Solutions with KNEX

Help me give my students stronger building materials to use when creatively solving engineering challenges during STEM.

My Project

I am an elementary school STEM teacher within the Phoenixville Area School District, working with students from kindergarten through sixth grade.

My goal for this project is to gain more resources for my students to incorporate into their self-driven learning challenges and daily experience with STEM-related real-world problems.

The addition of KNEX building materials to the classroom will enable my students to design, build, test, and improve various structures such as bridges, buildings, pulleys & levers, vehicles, and more while using the engineering design process.

I can promise you that all my students love to be creative builders and are quick to engage with each challenge when they have the physical resources within their reach to take charge.
