This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have many students that are so put off when it comes to reading. Finding any interest in reading a book or an article makes them upset and uneasy. However I have found that if I have these students read something that is more eye catching and in their eyes interesting this issue wouldn't come up. In my classroom I like to have the students look at a variety of different news articles. Students conduct research on these articles and it overall helps with their reading comprehension.

With the books in this project I plan to use them as a way for students to be more engaged with the things that they are researching.

Students love to find out interesting facts about the things that they love. Sports, video games, shoes, and more.

By donating to this project you are helping my students start to feel more comfortable in their reading and researching process.
