This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Crocheting has become a popular pastime for kids. I would love to be able to teach my kids this useful skill. They will use their reading and math skills while making projects and kindness when making projects for others.
My goal for this project is to teach my students a useful life skill.
They can use crocheting to create things for themselves and give back to others. They will be learning how to sew and work with their hands. It has also been used as a stress-relieving activity.
My students are so special! I have been talking to them all year about my personal crocheting projects and they have shown a huge interest. They have expressed how they would love for me to teach them, so that they can make their own projects. I would love to teach them how to make their own clothes items and dolls/toys with amigurumi.
