Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am requesting small area rugs and a carpet cleaner to help define spaces in our classroom and create cozy, clean places for children to play and learn on the floor. A carpet cleaner will help ensure that our rugs stay clean and safe for daily use, giving students a hygienic place to sit, play, and grow throughout the school year. Small carpets will allow me to set up designated learning and play zones within our open classroom.

These defined areas help students understand routines and expectations, promote focus during group activities, and provide a soft, comfortable space for floor play—so important for preschoolers’ motor and social development.

In our inclusion setting, visual and physical boundaries support the diverse learning needs of our students, especially those with special education needs.
