Creating Consistency and Excitement with New Books about the Holocaust

Help me give my students enough books for everyone about a subject that thrills them.

My Project

The resiliency of our students in this post-lock down era is amazing; many of them are pushing themselves to make up for lost learning and to reach their goals.

My students would feel more valued and motivated if we had enough novels that students chose as a class.

Since this project provides new books for the classroom, we would have enough books for everyone, and students would be able to borrow the books to bring the books home with them to read. Currently, we will have to read online copies if we don't get this project funded. Our school is focusing on literacy this year, and we do quarterly formative assessments across all departments. Our goal in the English department is to increase students' reading scores. Practice with reading high-interest novels is an effective way to make this happen. Students asked to learn more about the Holocaust.
