My Students

We are a classroom of 23 enthusiastic third graders from Montana!

We represent a very diverse set of academic needs. Many of us have qualified as gifted and are in need of supplemental services to meet our needs. Additionally, some of us fall below grade level expectations and require extra support and instruction to catch up. All of us are committed to learning and growing!

My Project

With the iPad minis, my students can move beyond simply playing and drilling facts to creating projects and expanding the walls of our classroom. Using the iPad minis, we will: progress through the Common Core curriculum in MobyMax, access our district curriculum's digital tools during center time, experiment with augmented reality using the Aurasma app, create visual representations of our learning using ShowMe, create videos of problem solving strategies using Splice, collaborate with one another using the Whiteboard Lite app, author our personal blogs on Kidblog, Skype with our digital penpals from Wisconsin, reflect on our learning using Three Ring and digital portfolios, and more!

As a classroom teacher, it can be a challenge to meet the diverse needs of today's learners.

Technology and digital tools allow me to differentiate my instruction, provide students with rich and engaging learning activities, and connect my students to the world in a new and meaningful way.
