This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As a lifelong artist and art educator, I’ve seen firsthand how powerful creativity can be for young minds. Since childhood, art has been my outlet, and I’ve taken formal classes to deepen my understanding of technique and expression. Now, I’m honored to guide my students through that same journey. I run a creative art club where 3rd–5th 5th-graders explore watercolor painting, acrylic painting, and sculpting with clay. The purpose of this space is more than just creating art—it’s about helping students process their feelings, build confidence, and discover their unique voices through hands-on expression.
I’ve personally covered many of the program's expenses out of pocket because I believe so deeply in what it provides these kids.
With your support, I’ll be able to offer quality materials that allow them to experiment freely, take creative risks, and experience the joy of making something meaningful. Every brushstroke, sketch, and sculpture helps them feel seen—and that’s what this is all about.
