Creating Confidence, One Sketch at a Time

Help me give my students sketchbooks and drawing pencils so they can practice techniques, explore ideas, and express themselves creatively while building confidence and developing essential skills in the visual arts.

My Project

Art is a skill that grows with daily practice—my students need sketchbooks and drawing pencils to make that happen. Each day in class, they spend 10–15 minutes drawing, using these tools to explore, experiment, and build confidence in their creativity.

Without essential tools like sketchbooks and pencils, my students face unnecessary barriers to learning.

Many come from low-income households and don’t have access to basic art supplies at home. Providing these materials will give every student the chance to practice regularly and take pride in their work.

What I love most about my students is their creativity and enthusiasm. Through art, they not only express themselves but also develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Creating art teaches them to make decisions, overcome challenges, and think outside the box. With your support, they’ll have the materials to keep growing—not just as artists, but as imaginative, thoughtful individuals ready to face any challenge.
