My Project

Welcome to our DonorsChoose project! We're dedicated to making a difference in the lives of third-grade students attending our Title 1 school. Our goal is to create a comfortable and nurturing environment where every student feels supported, especially those with trauma backgrounds and special learning needs, as well as those who are learning English as a second language.

In our diverse classroom, we understand the importance of addressing the unique needs of each child.

Many of our students come from challenging backgrounds and have experienced trauma that affects their ability to learn and thrive in a traditional classroom setting. By creating a supportive environment, we aim to help these students feel safe, valued, and ready to engage in their learning journey.

Additionally, we are committed to providing targeted support for students with special learning needs. Whether they require additional resources, assistive technology, or specialized instruction, we want to ensure that every child has the opportunity to reach their full potential.

Moreover, a significant portion of our student population is English language learners. We recognize the importance of providing them with the necessary tools and resources to develop their language skills effectively. By incorporating tailored instruction and language acquisition materials, we can help these students build confidence and proficiency in English while also mastering academic content.

With your support, we can create a classroom environment that fosters growth, resilience, and success for all our students. Your generosity will enable us to acquire essential resources such as trauma-informed materials, specialized learning tools, bilingual books, storage to make materials accessible for all, and flexible seating options to accommodate diverse learning needs.
