This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In our classroom, the various floor seating options—stadium seats, hexagonal mats, and mini rocking chairs—will provide my students with the flexibility to choose where and how they work best. These seating choices allow for greater comfort and movement, which is especially important for young learners who thrive in dynamic environments.
The stadium seats will give students the ability to engage in small group work, while the hexagonal mats offer a cozy space for independent reading or creative activities.
The mini rocking chairs will help students focus during lessons, allowing them to engage in hands-on learning while gently rocking to stay calm and focused.
By allowing students to choose a seating arrangement that suits their individual needs, we foster a classroom environment that supports concentration, creativity, and collaboration.
