My Students
I currently coach a women's high school soccer team. We currently have around thirty young women who are playing. These young women are all very talented on the field and off of the field. Last year they were second in the state academically and we made it to the first round of playoffs.
These women work hard to compete at a competitive level.
Our current school population is 675 students with a majority of them being on free and reduced lunch.
My Project
All of our students want to learn to aim for the right spot on the goal so that they can score at least once in their lives. On our team, the quick goal will provide the opportunity for more players to work on the perfect placement. This helps them with the basic idea of where they need to aim and be the most successful. The speed hurdles will help to work on being explosive off of their feet so that they can maneuver around their opponents. Speed hurdles can be used as a warm-up.
