This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I work at a STEM magnet middle school in Indiana. This means that my students chose to come to our school to learn more about Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.
My seventh and eighth graders come from all around the city to form a community where we focus on our core values of rigor, community, relationships, and drive.
My students come from diverse cultures and experiences, and some overcome significant obstacles to succeed at our school. In their two short years with us, they come in as young pre-teens and develop into teenagers prepared to flourish in high school!
My Project
We love to give our students to the opportunity to practice kindness in our building. One way we do that is through giving kids the fun opportunity to sit together and create cards of kindness for our staff. We make a little event out of it with new nice supplies, treats, and a chill fun setting.
I am requesting four sets of cards, envelopes and pens for our four teams of students to create cards of kindness for the staff members of their choice.
It's so great to see how they kids enjoy creating these and then then adults enjoy receiving them!
