This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach an amazing group of energetic, curious, and resilient kindergarteners at a Title I school. Many of my students face significant challenges outside the classroom, making it essential for our learning space to be safe, welcoming, and joyful—a place where they can grow emotionally and thrive academically. The kids play tent will give my students a calm, cozy space to decompress and self-regulate when feeling overwhelmed. The wireless doorbell will help me maintain smooth classroom transitions and get students' attention gently without raising my voice. The label maker and sticker printer will make organizing our learning tools fun and engaging while also encouraging students to take ownership of their space and materials.

These resources will help create a classroom where students feel calm, connected, and excited to learn every day.
