This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have the privilege to teach fine arts at a Title I elementary school in San Antonio, Texas. My awesome students range from prekindergarten all the way to 5th grade. Every student in the school rotates through my fine arts class for an hour each week. In my class, the children learn all about art, music and drama. The children are always eager to learn a new art technique, sing a new song or create music with a variety of instruments. We also have an art club and a music club that performs at wide range of school and community events.

My Project

I am requesting a Apple Macbook Pro laptop for my music students and also for my after school music club. I have amazingly talented students that deserve the opportunity to experience creating music with the use of technology. This Macbook will give my students the chance to learn how to create, share and collaborate making music with others with apps such as Garage Band .

My students will also use this laptop to learn how to run the music and sound effects for our music club performances and plays.

This new laptop will open many doors for my students and provide them with 21st century technology experiences.
