Creating Balance

My Project

My special education students are hard workers that enjoy learning. A Gibbons balance board will help students develop focus, coordination, and core strength—all essential for staying engaged during classroom activities.

Physical movement is especially beneficial for kinesthetic learners and helps students regulate energy levels and improve concentration during academic tasks.

Many of my students come to school without their basic needs being met. For example they might not bring a backpack with water, chapstick or kleenex.

Dry, cracked lips can be distracting and uncomfortable, making it hard for students to focus. Providing lip balm ensures students are comfortable and can pay attention in class without unnecessary distractions. Mints and Tic Tacs are a small treat that can be used as positive reinforcement during lessons or as a calming sensory tool for students who benefit from subtle oral input to stay focused and grounded.
