Creating Art With Technology

Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

We are a second year, public, charter school serving students in the rural communities of Bladen County and its surrounding counties. Our students come from a variety of backgrounds and are exceptionally creative.

We want to provide our students with a bright future and give the parents a choice in how their children are educated.

As our mission states: we illuminate to embark; we investigate to discover; we innovate to transform; we cultivate to sustain; we celebrate to thrive - realizing the potential within us - we graduate.

My Project

With the addition of the 3Doodlers, our students will have the opportunity to have a hands-on approach to their learning. The number of specialty tools, templates, and other materials that can be used with the 3Doodler set will be paired with our recently funded project for classroom computers to create a true 21st-century innovation lab at our school.

The usage of the 3doodlers, having the students interact with the laptops will give them various 21st-century skills in STEAM-related areas.

3D pens also allow a more hands-on approach to creating 3D items for sculpture and other art projects.
