My Students

I teach second graders in one of the best rural schools in Oklahoma! My students are amazing, inquisitive, and eager to learn. Although some may have difficult lives, my students come to school with smiles on their faces. They are supportive and cheer each other to success. Half of them go to Title I Reading, thirty minutes every day, for extra help.

My students are special because they have curiosity, creativity, compassion, and positive attitudes.

They are leaders who show love, compassion, kindness, and bravery. They are truly amazing people. My school is wonderfully supportive of the active, hands-on learning that we do in our classroom. I couldn't ask for a better environment for these students. We are truly a community!

My Project

What if imagination, magic, and creativity are all the same thing? What if imagination is this little spark found somewhere inside every one of us that’s been there all along, just dying to be let out at the right moment? There’s something magical and even inspiring about seeing something you drew come to life on an item that you can use and be proud of. I want my students to use their magic and creativity for this project.

My magical and creative students will be using our new IPads and create an image they would like on their Luma Steel Sublimation Blank Stainless Steel Tumbler.

After my students create and save their image, they will print it using our sublimation printer. I will help them place the image on their water bottle using the heat tape. This is when it becomes tricky. I will have to place the SubliShrink Shrink Wrap Film on their water bottle and use the heat gun to form it tightly around their water bottle. Then they can place their water bottle in the Oyster convection oven, set the timer, and watch their image transfer to their water bottle! My students will love this! They love having a water bottle at school but seeing their creation on their water bottle will be exciting for them!
