This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Anchor charts are a tool that I use to remind scholars what has been taught throughout the year. All learning builds upon previous concepts, but not every scholar can remember what they learned in August when applying the knowledge in January. The anchor charts provide the visual that they need to remember and grow their learning.

What better way to support learning than by having my scholars create the anchor charts we use every day.

The chart paper, markers, and crayons will provide the tools that they need to cement their learning by creating them. How they create them are reminders that connect to their lives thus cementing the learning.
