I am a second year kindergarten teacher who absolutely loves my job! I have 15 amazing kids who truly love to learn. We would love to have some durable and exciting station items for our classroom! I have been making our station items and they have not been as durable as I would like them to be.
My students are absolutely amazing!
My students are from a rural area, but still face the same challenges as a urban area. Our school is very small, which we love! My students are hard workers who strive to learn. They love when they can find out an answer or create something on their own. Group and partner work is a skill that they are gaining a lot of expertise on and improving with everyday. I am more impressed by them each and every day!
My Project
I am asking for several items that I can use during our independent station time. This is when I can teach reading with a small group while the other students can learn and complete a project on their own.
The fill in the blank stamp kits will allow the students to identify the letter or letter blends in the beginning, middle, or end of a word. They will LOVE to do this! This will help them become better writers.
The phonics sets will allow the students to identify the beginning, middle, and ending sounds of words in a game format! The students love to play games and this will help reinforce the importance of looking at the entire word when reading and writing!
The simple addition set will help reinforce counting and basic addition facts. The students will be able to solve simple addition facts on their own or with a group.
These items that I am asking for appear to be very durable and last for my future kindergarten "friends"!
