My students need a carpet for the classroom, flexible seating to help get wiggles out and to keep them engaged, as well as storage units to keep the classroom looking clean and clutter free.
My classroom is made up of a unique group of students. Every student that walks into my classroom has specific needs that must be met to ensure they find success within the classroom, as well as outside of the classroom. At my school, we follow the 7 Habits of Happy Kids, as well as The Leader in Me. We want to teach all of our students how to become amazing leaders, while also teaching them the basic fundamentals of becoming successful citizens within their community.
My classroom environment plays a huge role in creating a successful learner.
Being that everyone is different, their needs need to be met in different ways. Every one of my future students are going to need extra support to be able to find success in their first year of school. I want to give them an environment where they will feel comfortable, have fun, and feel loved.
My Project
These items will help create an environment within my classroom that will excite the students, and keep them motivated throughout the school day. The carpet will help keep the students comfortable during our morning meetings, as well as any lesson that can be taught on the carpet. The flex-space wobble cushions can give students alternative seating to help keep them engaged throughout a lesson, and the Nasco ChairMates will help with creating a clean environment with less clutter. The paper center storage unit will be an added bonus towards our organizational goals.
My students deserve to have a beautiful classroom that will keep them wanting to come back to learn as much as they can!
