Creating a Whiteboard

My students need a large white board with markers and storage.

My Students

When you have lemons, make lemonade. My classroom works on that motto. We have been using large white paper in place of a whiteboard.

My students are a great bunch of kids.

They are creative and enjoy working together. They are always eager to show off their work to each other and to the rest of the school. You will often find them working on posters or work to hang in the hallway. My students also are visual learners and work best from seeing pictures or watching a video about a topic.

My Project

We were lucky enough to get a projector in our office turned classroom. But that projector was set up to project on our old fashioned black board. We were able to put up large pieces of white paper but they are always warping and distorting whatever we project. I would like to create a white board not just for projecting but also so myself and the students can write on the board on images that we project.

Imagine having a large graph projected on the board and being able to come up and practice plotting with your class.

Imagine watching a video about weather and clearly seeing the details of the storm. With a white board my students will be able to experience these moments.
