This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My goal as a teacher is to provide my students with a classroom where they feel welcome, safe, and excited to learn. Classroom decor isn’t just about looks, it’s a powerful tool to create a positive, engaging, and student-friendly environment. A colorful, inviting space can make a big difference in how children feel when they walk in each day.

That’s why I’m asking for support to add a bright, cheerful rug to our classroom.

This rug will become the heart of our learning space, a cozy area where we can read together, share ideas, work in groups, and build a sense of community. For young learners especially, a comfortable rug offers structure, belonging, and joy.
