I am a starting out my career as a teacher at our elementary school in the city of Philadelphia. My students are a very special group of students who unfortunately do not always have the materials they need to be successful.
My goals for this project is to set my students up for continued and constant success in the classroom.
This includes making sure my classroom is inclusive and sensory sensitive for its diverse group of students.
For this reason, the tennis balls will be for the furniture in the classroom, this will help the students stay focused during learning as it will eliminate the noise from the furniture constantly moving around. The paper organizers will help the room stay organized so students can keep track of their work and be motivated to keep their classroom a clean environment to enhance the learning environment.
In a classroom, students constantly always need pencils. The bean bag chairs will help students be able to read comfortably in the classroom library as well as provide students the opportunity to work on the carpet. The notebooks and expo markers will ensure students have all the materials they need to be successful in the classroom.
My students are motivated and want to be successful in the classroom and are always eager to learn. I want to let my group of little personalities to shine in the classroom by limiting sensory overloading distractions to create an environment beneficial for learning.
