Creating a Study Skills Classroom That Is Inviting and Flexible

Help me give my students flexible seating for improved focus and study options. Study Skills is a brand new elective for students who want to explore how they learn best and how to take control of their education.

My Project

I choose to teach 7th graders. They are fun, full of energy, and love to talk/share. Everyday is unique.

Our school is starting a new elective called Study Skills, and I am fortunate to be able to teach it.

My focus will be to help students learn organization skills, take a front seat to their learning, and develop study habits in order to become successful students.

Providing them with flexible seating options, including stools and floor seats, that will benefit all types of learners is the key. Not all students learn best in a traditional desk.
