My Students

Aloha- We are a new group of students at our high school here in Hawaii that wish to pursue and acquire new technology to create a STEM Drone Academy. We are a Title I school in high poverty, and know that with a little help (kokua) we can have students train other students for future careers in remote control aeronautics.

We have a young and passionate group of students eager to learn this aeronautic technology, and put it to good use for their community, and to put them at the certified forefront of prospective careers in this emerging new field.

My Project

We have extremely creative and motivated students that want to learn all they can about Drone Technology and Aeronautical Engineering. Their goal is to acquire the needed technology, to get fully licensed and insured, and create an after school class to teach other students about this emerging technology. They want to be on the ground floor in our area, and create job opportunities for students utilizing this technology and skills.

Learning Aeronautical Engineering, Coding, and Drone Pilot technology will give motivated and passionate students an advanced opportunity for careers in this emerging technology field.

Students will learn to fly remote control drone devices, will learn to code the software that runs the drones, will work toward being certified pilots by the FAA, and will use the newly acquired technology and skills to create a business using the drone technology to serve other companies on our island.
