This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The materials and supplies that I am requesting for my students already have a "home." In other words, I know exactly where everything will go. We just need your help in getting everything through our door! Creating a sensory-focused classroom requires various seating accommodations, supplies that foster creativity, and items that encourage self-regulation. The flexible seating will give my students access to a different form of learning. Learning at your desk does not need to be dull and uninviting when they are various ways of finding a comfortable way to learn. The books I have included will expand our library for our avid readers. Including books based on diversity allow students to see themselves through the world of reading. As we explore these books during our read-aloud, we can build meaningful conversations and make self-to-text connections. We have loved on our current easel, and it is time for a replacement- with your donation, we can update it. Each material and supply will allow my students to have a sensory-focused classroom ready for them to conquer the world of education!
