My Project

Hello! We’re reaching out to help us create a more supportive and inclusive environment for our students with sensory needs. At our title I elementary school, we’ve been working hard to develop a sensory room that provides a calming and engaging space for students to manage sensory overload, take sensory breaks, and engage in therapeutic activities.

One key piece of equipment we’re missing is a crash pad.

This essential item would provide a soft, safe area for students to jump, roll, and crash into, which is crucial for sensory integration and self-regulation. The crash pad helps children with sensory processing disorders or those who need extra sensory input to feel grounded and calm.

Why We Need a Crash Pad:

Sensory Regulation: Many of our students benefit from physical activities that help them regulate their sensory needs. A crash pad allows them to safely engage in these activities, which can improve focus and behavior in the classroom.

Safe Physical Outlet: For students who seek intense sensory input, a crash pad offers a safe way to fulfill that need without risking injury. It’s a critical component for their physical and emotional well-being.

Improved Learning Environment: By providing a designated space for sensory breaks, we can help students return to their classroom activities feeling more balanced and ready to learn.

Thank you for considering our request and for your continued support of our school community. Together, we can make a meaningful impact on the lives of our students and ensure that everyone has the resources they need to succeed.
