This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In our science classroom, safety and organization are key to creating a productive learning environment. With so much technology and equipment in use each day, I want to make sure our space stays safe and clutter-free for all students. Cable management covers, extension cords, and light timers will help protect cords in high-traffic areas and prevent tripping hazards, while also ensuring our classroom tools and devices are used efficiently and responsibly. These items will allow me to better manage lab groups and Chromebook charging stations so students can focus on learning without distraction or risk.

A well-organized classroom helps students feel more secure and prepared to take academic risks.

When students know their environment is safe and well-maintained, they are more confident and eager to participate in labs and group work. To further support our classroom, I’m also requesting a drafting chair with wheels that allows me to move easily between student groups and lab stations to assist and supervise safely. This will allow me to check in with all students and make them feel as if I am a part of the group learning!

Together, these items will make our science classroom a safer, more efficient place to explore, discover, and grow. Your support will help create an environment where students can learn with confidence and curiosity!
