it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In my classroom, I strive to create a nurturing environment where every student feels valued and supported. One essential component of this environment is my calming corner, a designated space where students can retreat to regulate their emotions and find peace during challenging moments.
My students and I excited to enhance our calming corner by introducing a locking storage cabinet that will serve multiple purposes.
Not only will it provide a secure space to store materials and tools aimed at helping students calm down, but its magnetic surface will also allow us to display visual aids and calming posters, further enhancing the atmosphere of tranquility and positivity.
The locking storage cabinet will be instrumental in organizing and safeguarding our collection of sensory items, fidget toys, and other resources that aid in self-regulation. By having these resources readily accessible yet securely stored, we can ensure that students have the support they need precisely when they need it.
