This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Theme Centers in classroom are the future layout that must be present within the Pre-k classroom now. My classroom is in need of Science Books and Science materials that varies with the subjects that are being taught throughout the year.

My Pre-k student are wonderful, smart and dedicated to whatever subject or Theme that we study.

They enjoy coming to school everyday and showing me that they did their homework. The overall atmosphere at our school is great...wonderful. However, we are in a impoverished area of Florida...whereas the free lunch at the school is 92% or more.

My Project

Pre-k goes far beyond preparing children for Kindergarten. Pre-k is a stepping stone to Life skills, communication and dreams. Pre-k is not considered a priority at my school or viable because we do take the FCAT...so my demands for materials and books are not placed on a priority list. However, we are constantly bombarded about Centers that we need to create in our classroom during our workshops experiences...they are not supplying me with the materials that I need to create the Science Center, but I am made aware that my classroom Science Center is not adequate. I am requesting a Science Center that are subject related to the themes being taught throughout the year. So I am requesting Science books and materials relating to Earth Science, Life Science and Physical Science.

My project is very important to me and my class because we cannot afford the expensive field trips along with the bus expenses.

So we have to create our dream field trip study at the school site. The Science Center in my class is in need of renovation. The Science material that I am requesting from you for my class will be a stepping stone for the inquisitive Scientist dreamers in my class. Your donation will impact the minds of my students to seek Knowledge and to dream bigger.
