This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My goal is to create a neurodiverse classroom where we nurture children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development through captivating, age-appropriate activities. Our mission is to empower all of our students' innate curiosity and eagerness to explore. By providing them with a dedicated space and tailored resources, we create pathways for discovery that enable them to reach their full potential while meeting them right where they are.

I firmly believe in the transformative power of exploration to ignite children's interests while simultaneously facilitating their academic growth through play.

For example, the Air Toobz Classroom Set encourages experimentation, problem-solving, and engaging in STEM activities. The rainbow adjustable table is a perfect tool for small group work, allowing the teacher to guide each child's exploration and learning journey effectively. In contrast, children learn to collaborate and problem solve. Incorporating a well-organized storage system empowers children to select their own activities and promotes independence in choosing and cleaning up.

By allowing them to choose, investigate and engage with their peers and educators, we can authentically meet each child's individual needs, fostering both their autonomy and cognitive development.
