Creating A Motivating and Stimulating Classroom

Help me give my students a classroom environment that encourages the desire to attend daily and actively participate in their learning experience.

My Project

I will be working with an amazing group of 7th grade students for the 2022-2023 school year. These children were considered a "challenging" group both academically and behaviorally last school year.

These students need to learn to become "a family", believe in their abilities, and become willing to put forth the effort necessary for academic and social success.

I believe that creating an exciting and engaging classroom atmosphere for these students is the key to accomplishing this goal.

It is my wish to make their learning environment stimulating and one that makes the students eager to attend school daily while enjoying the learning process. The classroom that I am assigned to is very old, ill-kept, and offers little to encourage positive student participation. With the addition of select furniture pieces, technology enhancements, and classroom accents, I believe this group of students will be proud of and excited about their learning experience. Classroom décor items will create a sense of belonging and pride in their surroundings. Students with attention issues will utilize the alternative seating as opposed to traditional chairs to redirect excess. Keyboards and mouse sets as well as whiteboards will create innovative work stations for daily engagement and presentation creation.

This is where I really need your help. The changes I would like to incorporate will not be extravagant but will be ones necessary to accomplish positive student change. With your help, we can provide an atmosphere that is engaging, challenging, and designed with their individual needs in mind. I would greatly appreciate any and all help you can provide in this endeavor.
