My 7th and 8th grade students cannot afford the basic needs required for school. Paper, pencils, folders, and other items are not something they are financially able to acquire for their educational pursuits. I would love to create a Language Arts classroom that fosters confident students who are not insecure due to their lack of supplies. With your help, I would like to create an environment in which the students can focus on reading and writing without the worry of having to ask to borrow a pencil or a piece of paper. The supplies will just be there for them to utilize and begin their daily learning/assignments without the stress and concerns that a child should not have to be concerned or embarrassed about. With a good start to the school year, we can help to ensure the children have a better ending.
