My Project
I love the energy and drive my students bring to class each day. As a government and economics teacher at a Career and Technical high school, I work with students preparing for futures in culinary arts, engineering, biomedical sciences, construction, and more.
My students are motivated, hands-on learners who thrive when lessons are practical, interactive, and connected to real-world experiences.
Their curiosity and commitment inspire me to create an engaging and supportive learning environment.This project will make a meaningful impact on our classroom. Basic supplies like Kleenex, filler paper, expo markers, and poster board help students stay prepared and participate fully—especially those who can’t always bring materials from home. A class set of headphones allows students to engage with videos and podcasts, which are key components of our lessons. Backup Chromebook chargers ensure no student falls behind due to a dead device. The buzzer gaming system will bring fun, competition, and engagement to reviews and class activities, helping students feel more involved and excited to participate. A Teachers Pay Teachers gift card will give me access to fresh, creative, and career-relevant materials that keep content exciting and meaningful.
What makes my students special is their passion and commitment to excellence in their chosen fields. Many of them participate in school-based activities and competitions tied to their career pathways, and they consistently place at state and national levels. We’re part of the fifth largest school district in the nation, and our school is proud to maintain a 100% graduation rate. These resources will help me create the kind of classroom my students deserve—one that’s interactive, inclusive, and built to prepare them for both college and the workforce.
