Help me give my students reading library full of books that relate to their own life experiences, that make them think, and that foster a love of reading and learning.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The majority of students in our school do not have the desire or motivation to read; let's change that! They can look at reading as a chore, required by the school. My goal is to provide engaging books that build a love of reading which in turn will improve their reading and comprehension, a weakness for many.
The students I work with are bright, but need opportunities and resources made available to push them to their potential.
They are always grateful when given the attention and support they need. Providing the school with these books for students would allow students the opportunity to explore different genres of books that the curriculum does not always provide.
