My Project

My goal is to bring more multicultural literature into my classroom. I want to support my growing readers by creating an environment where they can read diverse books in a safe and comfortable space. In our ever-changing world, students deserve to have the opportunity to read multicultural books in a supportive classroom.

This project features engaging and award-winning picture books and chapter books with many diverse main characters.

In addition, it includes items that will help create a comfortable space for students to feel welcome. During COVID, many of my classroom items were put into storage. When my materials were returned, they were damaged or destroyed. I am trying to rebuild a space where students feel comfortable and ready to learn.
