This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

It's important for children to engage in some sort of physical activity. Learning and playing sports at school has many benefits, such as improved classroom behavior, daily exercise, making friends, developing good sportsmanship, etc.

For this project, I am requesting a set of footballs and basketballs so that I can teach the students at my elementary school the fundamentals of each sport in my sports recreation after-school program.

Teaching students the fundamentals and exposing them to different sports will inspire them to continue playing as they get older. This set of equipment will also allow them to have their own football and basketball to practice and play with outside of school.
