Creating a Love for Reading with Scholastic Magazines

Help me give my students Scholastic Magazines to help ensure their love for reading. Scholastic Magazines will provide my students with engaging reading material that will build on what we are learning in the classroom.

My Students

My students come to school everyday excited to learn and a willingness to try new things. I teach Kindergarten in an urban district and my goal for each student is to make sure by the end of the year they fall in love with reading and learning.

In our classroom we are working on building relationships, following directions and most importantly learning how to be members of a community.

Although many of our students face challenges outside of school they enter the classroom as active learners each and everyday.

My Project

Scholastic Magazines will provide my students with interesting, engaging and a new reading material monthly.

These magazine fit a variety of students needs as well as exposing them to both fiction and nonfiction articles.

I love that these magazines can be sent home so parents can share the love of reading with their child. Through these magazines I plan on exposing my students to new vocabulary and creating engaging classroom discussions in a new format. I am so excited to share these magazine with my students and their families and create a love of reading in a brand new way.
