My Project
A Tonie Box is an audio and music device made specifically for young children. It is durable and made for little hands to be able to easily change the content on their own as they want.
A Tonie Box with its accompanying Tonies would greatly benefit my PreK children because they would independently enjoy their favorite stories and music as well as create their own recordings in the listening center!
The Tonie characters I've chosen are characters that we read in PreK regularly, songs we sing, and also a calming Tonie for nap time to help children rest their minds while having music played for the class. Additionally, there is a Tonie that the children can use to record their own stories!
The Tonie Box would be a wonderful enhancement to our Pre-K classroom! Being a Title One Public School with limited resources, we only have a few books on CD and at this age it is difficult for young children to use the CD player and follow along with a book. Students will still have this option to read physical books that are always available in our classroom library. Tonies will allow the children to use their imagination as they listen to the audiobooks and see the stories play out in their minds. They will be able to sing and dance to the songs. It will create such a fun environment in my classroom.
