My Project
So many changes happen at the fourth grade level, students now cycle from three different classrooms within one day. I want to provide them a safe, inviting space where they can engage with literature on a daily basis. By receiving the bean bags, chairs, and bench, students can find a space that appeals to them so they can get "lost" in a book.
My students have enough challenges out in the real-world so by having my calming, cozy corner, my wonderful students can escape their current reality through literature in this safe cozy space I have provided for them.
In addition, with the use of the noise cancelling headphones, they will not be distracted while reading any literature of their choice. In those few moments, while they are in the cozy corner with their headphones on, the world fades away and engaged reading happens.
