Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
On most days during lunch or brunch, my classroom is full of kiddos. Most are my current and past students, but others are not. Students, some of which I do not know, come searching for a comfortable place to sit or relax. They come to my classroom because of all my flexible, alternative seating. Research shows that flexible seating leads to better physical health. Allowing more opportunities for students to meet their sensory needs is a win for everyone!
Encouraging movement and comfort in my classroom so that each student can find their best learning style is always my goal.
The bean bag and pillows will ensure a larger cozy comfortable space in our classroom for more students. I often do not have enough space for all the students who would like to use the space.
