Creating a Comfortable Classroom

My students need wobble seats for a flexible seating experience in our classroom.

My Students

Each day, 42 energetic and eager 1st and 2nd graders enter my classroom. Each student brings something special and unique to the classroom, and each one has their own unique and special learning style.

Being able to provide the best learning environment for each of my students is very important to me.

Students spend most of their day at school with their classmates, so it is important that their classroom environment feels safe, comfortable and engaging. One way I try to achieve this is through flexible seating. Students love having the ability to choose seating that works best for them.

My Project

My students feel empowered when given choices in their education. Flexible seating has many benefits in the classroom--choice, movement, collaboration, and a sense of community. During work time, students will have the opportunity to find seating that will work best for them.

Wobble seats would be an outstanding addition to our already semi-flexible classroom.

Having more options available would be wonderful and allow more students to have their first choice in seating.

I have been amazed at the level of engagement in my classroom since I started incorporating flexible seating. These new pieces would be loved by so many students!
