Creating a Classroom That Inspires!

Help me give my students a classroom filled with items such as floor cushions, bins, a beanbag, puzzles, dough tools, etc. they will love.

My Project

My project is to create a classroom space that is attractive and inviting for my students with special needs.

We don't have a school library so my classroom library is the only place where they are exposed to books at school.

This space needs to be inviting. Beanbag seating will provide a cozy space to sit while exploring books. Cubby bin containers are for categorizing our library books.

We have some puzzles but no rack to properly display them. We would also like to add fidget toys to help calm our minds.

For SEL (Social Emotional Learning), my students love to play with doll sets and create their own housing, using blocks and other items around the room. The people are "borrowed" from someone so we would like to have our very own. Our morning meetings include questions to which we share answers with our class so the classroom warm-ups will be great conversation starters.

My students love different sensory bins. One contains homemade dough so we'd like to add tools for the dough, as well as some kinetic sand.

The round floor cushions are for making it more comfortable to sit on the floor or on the upside-down milk crates we have.
