Creating a Classroom for Student Emotional Growth

Help me give my students materials to enhance the climate and culture in my classroom. These materials will be used to enhance my cool down corner, incentivize positive student choices and literature to teach social skills.

My Project

My students are bright, curious, and resilient. Every day, they bring their unique strengths and challenges into the classroom. Many of them are learning how to navigate big emotions and tough situations, both in and out of school. They need support beyond academics—support that helps them develop self-awareness, self-regulation, and empathy.

This project will fund materials for a Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) space and instructional materials in our classroom.

With your help, I will create a calm and welcoming corner where students can take a break, reflect, and build the skills they need to thrive emotionally and socially.

The materials I’m requesting will give students the opportunity to manage stress in healthy ways and return to learning with a focused mind.

In addition to the physical space, I plan to integrate SEL activities into our daily routine. These tools will support lessons on topics like identifying feelings, resolving conflicts, and practicing mindfulness. I will also establish a dojo store to incentivize positive decision making and students implementing the learned strategies.

SEL is critical for academic and lifelong success. By supporting this project, you’re not just funding classroom supplies—you’re helping children build the foundation for emotional resilience and healthy relationships.
