This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As a first year teacher at a low income school my goal is to give my students a fun and safe environment to learn. I want each child to be excited to come to school each day and find comfort in this classroom. As a teacher starting from scratch putting together a classroom with a read aloud chair, library rug, floor cushions and stools would help build a cozy room as well as flexible seating for the students when moving throughout the classroom.
My students, while extremely underprivileged come to school each day with a positive attitude and out look on life.
That being said, funds for a school like mine are low and every little bit helps.
Having products such as a printer, laminator, and writing supplies will help keep the students worksheets organized and reusable. These items would be very beneficial, as our staff does not have access to a printer or laminator. It would be amazing to be able to provide great worksheets for my students on a daily basis, using resources that are easily accessible.
My overall wish for my students is to provide them with as many essential materials as possible. Any donation is extremely appreciated and I thank you for taking the time to look over my project.
