Creating a Classroom for Every Learner

Help me give my students a welcoming classroom with flexible seating options and headphones to help block out outside noise.

My Project

As a first year teacher I am hoping to create a welcoming classroom environment where each child can learn in a space where they feel comfortable.

Every student learns differently and it is important that a classroom is built to reach all types of learners.

For some students this may be accomplished while sitting at a desk, but for most it is best achieved in other ways.

I hope to provide flexible seating options for my students. This will help students focus and engage more in lessons. Flexible seating as well as bands to put on the base of their chairs can help control the wiggles many students experience.

I hope to provide headphones for each student to use with their Chromebooks. This will help to block outside noise and to ensure that time spent on chrome books is focused.

A classroom rug will help to create a welcoming environment and a class community. Many hours are spent instructing students outside of their desks, and a welcoming rug is just the right place to accomplish this.

Along with flexible seating options and headphones, I am in need of some basic classroom supplies. Whiteboard clipboards will be used when students are outside of their desk and for various projects we will work on in the classroom. We are always in need of dry erase markers, and markers to create anchor charts to help each student remember the lessons taught in class.
