This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In my second grade classroom I am trying to prepare my students for the real world as much as possible. Part of the real world experience is teaching my kids about basic economics. Students will be able to earn classroom money by doing their classroom jobs and coming to school. Students will also need to pay rent and taxes on their earnings. Once a month students will have the opportunity to shop in the classroom reward store.
My goal of this project is to teach my students the importance of saving money and how to accomplish financial goals.
In this project I am requesting pretend money in my classroom and prizes for the reward store. These prizes, such as games, fidgets and puzzles are items students can "buy" with their classroom money.
