This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I teach in an urban school in one of the lowest income zip codes in Indianapolis. This unique school provides students from difficult backgrounds an opportunity to pursue a rigorous education and set themselves up for success.

Despite coming from difficult backgrounds, the students in my school come to class ready to learn and give their all each and every day.

These students inspire me to provide the most caring and best learning environment that I can provide for my students.

My Project

Technology is such an important part of today's world, which is why it is so important to have access to technology in our classroom. Technology prepares students to be successful in the real world by allowing them to learn at their level.

Technology gives every student, at every level, the opportunity to learn and thrive academically.

The Chromebooks for my students would allow students who are below grade level to catch up and those who are above grade level to challenge themselves even more. These also provide experiences for the students that are not available otherwise. Access to this technology allows students of all level to excel and prepare them for the future.
